SHEAVY: New Album Title Revealed
February 19, 2007St. John's, Newfoundland "stoner" rockers SHEAVY have issued the following update:
"This week we're going into the studio to start recording a new album. Right now it's tentatively entitled 'The Machine That Won The War'. It's going to be a crazy couple of weeks for sure. The majority of the project is going to be recorded on small format analog tape and we've got a number of local engineers lined up to jump in on various parts. We're hoping it'll be a blast and hey, we hope you enjoy the new tunes! As part of the new release we're hoping to package it with a live DVD. The video shoot for the DVD is coming up at Holy Heart Auditorium on Saturday March 3rd at 7:30 PM. Price: Pay what you can at the door!"
SHEAVY's latest album, "Republic?", came out in 2005 via Rise Above Records.
SHEAVY last year announced the addition of guitarist Tommy Boland to the group's ranks. A live DVD, entitled "Sheavy at the Masonic Temple", was filmed on May 10, 2005 at the Masonic Temple Ballroom in St. John's.
